Als Reaktion auf die globale COVID-19-Pandemie startete Matthew Burrows im März 2020 die Artist Support Pledge Initiative auf Instagram. Die Idee ist einfach: Künstler, die an der Initiative teilnehmen, in dem sie Bilder einer zum Verkauf stehenden Arbeit für nicht mehr als 200 € / £ / $ auf Instagram veröffentlichen, verpflichten sich damit, bei jeder im Rahmen der Initiative eingenommenen Summe von 1.000 € / £ / $, wiederum die Arbeit eines anderen teilnehmenden Künstlers zu kaufen.
What is the artist support pledge?
In March 2020 Matthew Burrows launched the Artist Support Pledge in response to the Global COVID-19 Pandemic on Instagram. The idea is simple: Artists who commit to the pledge will post images of a work that's for sale, for no more than 200€/£/$ and each time their sales reach 1,000 €/£/$ they promise to buy another artist's work for 200€/£/$.
